I happened to be on the island of Samos, Greece photographing several NGOs when I got a call from Choose Love (Help Refugees). They had a chef, Merlin Johnson, going to an NGO on Chios to teach cooking. They wanted someone to photograph his time there for a possible magazine article. So they flew me over and I spent a few days taking photos of everything Merlin did, and also the other activities at the NGO.
